Students will learn information regarding the basic food plate and nutritional needs of individuals. This course covers the correct procedures for food preparation and safe handling, as well as the effect certain foods can have on the healing process. Additional topics covered include food allergies, modified diets, food texture, food appearance and caloric intake.
