Clarity Care's Fundraising Efforts
Clarity Care raises funds to support the following programs within our organization:
Clarity Care's "Chance" program provides endless opportunities to enjoy enrichment events, activities, and build life skills for adults with disabilities or limitations.
One day of each month in 2015 we will be partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings in Oshkosh, when they will donate 10% of their proceeds from that day to support our Chance program. All you have to do is enjoy your dinner, and present a coupon in print, or on your smart phone! Follow us on Facebook for reminders and links to the coupon.
Help at Home
Help at Home is a charitable, cost-sharing program that provides supportive home care to low-income elderly and disabled persons in their own homes, helping them to remain living independently for as long as possible. Clients pay a small cost-share per hour of care, on average around $5 per hour, and the remaining costs are funded solely by grants and donations. The typical Help at Home client receives 8 - 10 hours of care per month. A donation of $1,800 will provide one year of care to our average client. Read more.
The use of technology has made life more entertaining and convenient for most of us. For our developmentally disabled clients, technology can also increase their ability to communicate with the people in their lives. Recent donations have been used to provide Ipads, Wiis, and computers in our residential homes for the use of our consumers.
Heritage Court Independent 55+ Living Community
A gift to Heritage Court can include donations of exercise equipment, technology, or televisions for the common areas.
Many of our developmentally disabled clients are unable to afford more than the very barest of necessities. No one sees this need more clearly than our employees who devote themselves to the daily care of our consumers. Most donations to this fund come from employee-led fundraising efforts and help to provide things like: electric razors, winter boots, camp fees, or other enrichment activities.
Winneconne Thrift & Gift
In a partnership with the Winneconne Thrift & Gift, Clarity Care volunteers work the third Saturday of each month at the store from 10am to 2pm, and the store donates 50% of the day's sales to our organization. Funds are used to provide scholarships to low-income students studying to become Nurse Aides/Home Health Aides, and to fund other unmet needs of of clients and consumers. The store is located on Main St. in Winneconne, behind the Kwik Trip.
